Activate DKIM for Microsoft 365
DKIM is an email authentication method for Microsoft 365. This article explains how to activate it for your business email.
Step 1: Login to Microsoft 365 Defender Portal and navigate to Policies & rules → Threat policies → Email authentication settings → DKIM. Alternatively, try this shortcut link: https://security.microsoft.com/dkimv2
Step 2: Click on the domain you want to activate DKIM for.
Step 3: Click the Create DKIM keys button.
The keys will be displayed in a pop-up window. They will look somewhat like this:
Name: selector1._domainkey
Value: selector1-yourdomain-com._domainkey.contoso.onmicrosoft.com
Name: selector2._domainkey
Value: selector2-yourdomain-com._domainkey.contoso.onmicrosoft.com
You now have to install these keys into the DNS of your domain. If you would like ClickWP to install the DNS record for you, copy and paste the DKIM keys as plain text (not a screenshot).
Once the DNS record has been installed, return to the screen above and activate the "Sign messages for this domain" toggle.
